Welcome to the eighth edition of the TAO Times, where we share weekly updates on all of the most important events occurring within the Bittensor ecosystem!

For validators, subnet owners, miners, token holders, & community members.

We will begin to keep these much more succint than previous editions but please, if you would like to submit any feedback, we are all ears.

Here is what happened during the week of October 6th โ†˜๏ธ

Highlights of the Week

๐Ÿ”ฅ Inference Labs has received community praise for its efforts in the zkML space through SN2's ability to incentivize miners to improve the speed of ZK proof generation and its latest Proof-of-Weights initiative. This initiative allows subnet owners to define an incentive mechanism as a ZK circuit to increase operational transparency with validators.

Inference Labs (from WAndB public logs)

๐Ÿ”ฅ OpenKaito revealed that just two weeks after releasing itโ€™s new embedding task, miner performance has begun to surpass the baseline OpenAI text-embedding model. You can access the dashboard here.

๐Ÿ”ฅ NeuralAI, announced the launch of the Neural3D subnet on SN46. The goal of this subnet is to streamline 3D asset creation for game development and virtual production by using AI to quickly generate high-quality 3D assets from text prompts, while also building an open-source library of 3D assets for future training and use.
